Love

Scripture of the Day: John 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him. I moved the prayer from the end to the beginning...because if you don't make it through this whole thing, the prayer is what is important! Heavenly Father God; thank you for loving us. Thank you for the head knowledge of that every day. Please help us not only know it; help us feel it in our hearts. God, you show us you love us every day in numerous ways and we don't always pay enough attention to see it. Sometimes it doesn't come in the form of the words, "I love you." Sometimes we have to search for it. Help us see it. Help us embed the concept that you love us and we are YOURS. Forever. On good days and bad days, you stay the same. Thanks to Jesus, you love us no matter what. Help us love you that same way; and help us extend that uncomplicated love to others.  ...

My mothers

Scripture of the Day: Luke 12:34 Where your treasure is, there your heart will be. I'd like to insert a word there; so it reads: "Family, where your treasure is, there your heart will be." Yesterday was Mother's Day and I couldn't write a FaceBook post fitting to the mothers in my life! Here is a much lengthier version :) There are so many. There is Trish, my mother-mother, who took care of me in my sickest times and demonstrated the importance of staying strong when your child is weak. A lesson I appreciate more now as a mother myself with a son who has had hospital stays! She will fight for what is right, remain loyal to the end and has a strong desire to help those who need a little (or a lot) of accounting help. It has been a blessing to see her in her work element this last year.! My verse for her because of my health issues and then hers is Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous.
