Scripture of the Day: Nehemiah 1:5-6a
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night..."
It is powerful to pray Scripture. The Word is God breathed and when you breathe those words back to God, it means something! Please note I am NOT saying God doesn't hear you when you pray your own words. I am not very good at praying Scripture (except the Our Father because that is ingrained in me), because I am not very good at memorizing verses. I am at a point though, where I would like to try! I figure if my 3.5 year old son can memorize a verse a week, I should be able to as well. :)
Would you like to join me? If you choose to do this, let me know - I will help hold you accountable to memorize a verse a week, and you can do the same for me!
