Scripture of the Day: Numbers 6:24-26
‘May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
‘May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
I have talked about praying God's Word before and feel that for a little while, that is the direction my posts will take. I will blab on about something I am sure and then apply the prayer.
We will start with this great set of verses from Numbers. If I had a life verse right now, it would be this! It not only asks for the things I am needing (protection and blessing), but the things I desire (mainly his peace and a little bit of him smiling down couldn't hurt). The amazing thing is, right now I have it! I am still waking up each morning feeling hopeful about something. I don't know why, but it is much better than waking up worrying. And because I don't know why I am feeling this peace, I can only presume it is a blessing. Of which I am very thankful :).
So, friends, in good times and bad, I pray that verse for you. May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. May he fill you with unexplained pleasure and contendedness, regardless of your circumstances. Our God can do all things and deserves thanks for that!
